As Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Emily West is responsible for overseeing all operational areas for Fallon Health, including enrollment and billing, claims and configuration, customer service, clinical operations, consumer experience and analytics, and information technology.
Since joining Fallon in 1989, Emily has held various leadership roles. Her accomplishments over the years include developing and implementing a customer service department from the ground up; assisting in the launch of two core system replacements; managing several large vendor solutions; and implementing various components of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), Massachusetts health care reform, and several Medicaid Accountable Care Organizations (ACO).
Emily was selected for the American Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) Executive Leadership Program (ELP) and received her Certified Health Insurance Executives (CHIEs) designation. Limited to 50 candidates nationwide, she was chosen based on her high level of professionalism, excellent performance in her position, and commitment to the health insurance industry.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Assumption University and certificates in health care management and human resources.
