Fallon Health announces 2024 Community Impact Grants application period
Community-based programs that address hunger, eliminate health care barriers for older adults, or focus on mental health early intervention programs for children and youth can apply now through April 29.
Worcester, Mass., April 3, 2024— Fallon Health today announced the opening of the latest application period for funding support through the not-for-profit health care services organization’s annual Community Impact Grants program. The application period is open through 5:00 p.m. on April 29, 2024.
Community-based organizations located in Fallon Health’s key service areas throughout Massachusetts and that address one or more of its focus areas for funding will be eligible to apply for grants ranging from $5,000 to $45,000, with a total commitment of $200,000. Average awards are $10,000 to $20,000.
In 2024, Fallon Health’s funding priorities include:
New or existing projects will be considered with funding awarded to programs with a particular focus on the communities located within Barnstable, Berkshire, Bristol, Essex, Franklin, Hampden, Hampshire, Middlesex, Norfolk, Plymouth, Suffolk, and Worcester counties.
Established in 2004, Fallon Health’s Community Impact Grants program has awarded more than $2 million to local organizations. The program is aligned with the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Community Benefits Guidelines.
- Food and nutrition security: Priority will be given to programs that improve or expand access to healthy and culturally inclusive food sources, with a focus on individuals and families with limited economic means.
- Older adults: Programs for older adults that support housing safety and stability, that mitigate isolation and loneliness, or that work to eliminate barriers to health care (e.g. technology, transportation, health literacy).
- Early intervention programs for children and youth: Programs that focus on mental health, behavioral health, and/or substance use prevention, education, and awareness.
