Fallon Health names John Budaj, VP of Information Technology
Worcester, Mass., Jan. 15, 2018 — Fallon Health, a nationally recognized, not-for-profit health care services organization, is pleased to announce the recent appointment of John P. Budaj as Vice President of Information Technology.
Budaj has 26 years of experience within the health insurance industry. In his new role, Budaj will direct all functional areas of Information Technology at Fallon, including Information Management and Data Analytics. He also will oversee enterprise-wide program and product initiatives that support overall corporate strategy.
Budaj came to Fallon in 2012 as the Senior Director of Medical Economics, Data Management and Reporting. Since 2014, he has served as IT Senior Director, Information Management and Analytics.
Prior to joining Fallon, Budaj was IT Director of Enterprise Data Management and Infrastructure at ConnectiCare, Inc. & Affiliates. In his role at ConnectiCare, Budaj managed a diverse group of IT professionals, set the technical direction for and alignment of corporate goals, was responsible for an administrative budget of more than $4 million and helped the business run effectively for 10 days in 2011 while on a back-up generator following a major storm.
In 2010, he was given ConnectiCare’s High Performer Award for outstanding leadership and management.
Budaj gained professional certification from America’s Health Insurance Plans and a Managed Healthcare Professional designation. He earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration/finance from the University of Connecticut.
He lives in Glastonbury, Connecticut with his wife and two daughters.
