Fallon Health names Lisa Cohen Vice President of Financial Planning and Accounting Operations

Worcester, Mass., January 13, 2017 — Fallon Health, a nationally recognized, not-for-profit health care services organization, is pleased to announce the recent hire of Lisa Cohen as Vice President of Financial Planning and Accounting Operations.

In her role with Fallon, Cohen is responsible for overseeing the company’s comprehensive financial reporting system, leading as Fallon’s top accounting official and working alongside the Chief Financial Officer and management team to help develop strategic planning initiatives, including capital and operating budgets.

Cohen brings more than 25 years of experienced leadership to Fallon from a variety of health care and non-profit roles. Most recently, Cohen served as Chief Financial Officer for Ascentria Care Alliance, where her duties included directing the company’s complex financial and strategic activities, overseeing a large financial personnel staff and directing 12 independent and government audits annually.  She previously served as Chief Financial Officer at PACE Organization of Rhode Island.

Cohen received her Bachelors of Science and Masters of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts–Dartmouth. Cohen, a 15-year member of the American Institute of CPAs, maintains active certification as a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Global Management Accountant.

Cohen is a New Bedford native, who currently lives in Lunenburg with her husband and two children.
