Fallon Health announces plans to build Southeastern Massachusetts’ first PACE Center

Worcester, Mass., April 22, 2024— Fallon Health, a national leader in offering the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), is pleased to announce construction of its newest Summit ElderCare PACE Center at 491 Faunce Corner Road, Building A in Dartmouth, Massachusetts.

The Center, which is pending regulatory review, will serve as the central hub for PACE services in Southeastern, Massachusetts. PACE is a national model of care offering a full range of coordinated health and wellness services to largely older adults so that they can age with dignity in their home or community. Fallon Health’s PACE program, which also emphasizes support for caregivers, is locally called Summit ElderCare.

“This is an important development for residents of Southeastern Massachusetts as we expand access to this popular and successful program,” said Kristine Bostek, Senior Vice President of PACE Programs. “We are looking forward to the opportunity to serve even more people in the community with compassion and care.”

Bostek said there may be more than 9,000 Southeastern Massachusetts residents eligible for PACE across Bristol, Plymouth, and Barnstable counties.

The Massachusetts-based health care services organization has received approval from the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) to file an application with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) seeking authorization to build the PACE facility in Dartmouth. If approved, it would open in late 2024.

"The Healey-Driscoll Administration is committed to ensuring that older adults have access to critical resources in order to meet their living needs and live safely in their own communities, when possible,” said Assistant Secretary for MassHealth Mike Levine. “We are hopeful that this new PACE Center will expand access to a wide range of services that will address those needs.”

Backed by nearly 30 years’ experience in PACE, Fallon Health operates six centers serving approximately 1,517 members.  In Massachusetts, Fallon Health serves approximately 1,352 residents from five PACE centers.
